The Lil Tex Traeger grill I acquired a week or so ago won’t heat past 420°. I realize that it’s an older model, but is there some part that I could replace to get more heat?
Not that I'm aware of, the older grills just had "High" and the temp was in that 400+ range.
I believe this is because they loose too much heat from everywhere, door, large vents, thin wall steel etc. Maybe use hottest fuels like Oak to get the most calories into the firepot.
