Knotty wood on sale at Lowes and HD

Got two emails today, looks like Knotty Wood is on sale at both Lowes and Home Depot right now. Just wanted to let the fans know! I ran through a bag of Plum and Almond and thought they were pretty good.

Different deals at each. Lowe's only has almond wood on sale for $16/bag with store pick up. Home Depot has both almond and plum wood on sale but it is only $1 off at $19/bag. However, HD is offering free home delivery.

I tend to purchase pellets that in stock at my local store. Ordering them for store deliver and then going back to pick them up is a hassle. There is no such thing as "free home delivery", the delivery cost is factored into the price. My local stores do not stock Knotty Wood pellets, so I won't be getting them.

When checking my local stores for pellet availability, I noted that my local Lowe's is showing a new blend of Pit Boss pellets is coming soon. It is called Fall Blend and consists of a blend of apple and hickory. It sounds like a good choice for smoking a ham or pork shoulder.
