I'm pretty sure it can. I was going to do the same, but ended selling my Junior 055 and upgrading to a bigger Traeger.

I bought my Junior at Costco for $299. Used it for 2 years and sold it for $200 and that went to the bigger one along with the money for the upgraded controller.

I have been reading into more threads on here saying the 055 is ac and the newer models are dc. I got the 055 for $50 just need the fuse replaced. Wanted to upgrade the controller but might end up selling it and getting a bigger one eventually.

The Junior is AC and the new models (with the D2 WiFire controller) are DC. But the controller you're looking at is AC. It'll work. Plug and play.
