Ironwood 885 Fan

Is it normal for the fan to cycle on and off every 5 -10 seconds while smoking 160-225? Besides being incredibly annoying it doesn't seen to generate much smoke, even with super smoke turned on. It doesn't seem to do it at higher temps. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks.

I use hickory and oak pellets @175 w/ SS on and it seems to work. The fan cycle may be a function of SS..

Grills with Super Smoke cycle the fan motor at low temps, this makes the fire burn less efficiently and makes more smoke. Sometimes opening the hood for too long with trigger a re-light cycle and the fan will cycle some then too.
