Anyone here use the Inkbird IBBQ 4T? I use several of their devices for home brew and always had a good experience.

Ive read mixed reviews and am wondering about the accuracy and if it will send notifications when the iPhone is locked.

I just got one and checked with the ice bath and boiling water temps. All 4 probes were spot in and the graphing was great. If you go to smokingmeatforums.com, they (inkird) are a sponsor and often have discount codes for use on Amazon I ended up paying about $46. Search for a user called inkbirdbbq an PM them.

I know the Fireboard is very popular, but $200+...that's a lot of dough 🙂. Cahnces are that it's slightly better, but just tough to justify.

I bought one and ended up giving it to my son in law and got the Fireboard 2. I like the app a little better and now that they have iWatch support I’m really happy!

I am also a home brewer and Inkbird is all over that market as well. They run tons of specials on a home brew site I frequent as and I have 4 or 5 of their other controllers to run my kegerator, fermentation chamber, etc and they have good, inexpensive gear.

I have one too and am also a home brewer. It's OK for the money, but the FireBoard 2 is a whole other game. As a brewer, I work for consistency (just like in BBQ). That's across the board in temp, times, and ingredients down to the gram.

While the Fireboard is more, it offers so much more in usability and flexibility than a $100 inkbird for all sorts of things. The app and Web UI is one to be envied by Inkbird.

What type of beer do you like to make? I have a Belgian Wit fermenting now. I like toys in my homebrew, too! I'm using a TILT to track fermentation with Brewfather software.
