Help! How do you all clean your Traeger meat thermometers? dishwasher?

I wipe it down the probes with Traeger cleaner, or equivalent. On the solid stainless part I occasionally use 0000 steel wool.

Edit: Never in the dishwasher.

Ok Ok. I get it. HA! Which FireBoard is everyone recommending? I see photos of all sorts of things going on at once on the Traeger. Ex. whole chicken next to ribs. I am assuming if one is cooking multiple meats they have multiple probes?

The regular FireBoard 2, and get at least 1 if not 2 short competition probes.

You can get it on Amazon now also, but not the probes.

It’s the $189.00 one.

It has 6 channels, I use it on 2 grills at one time sometimes.

You can save quite a bit of money by just going ahead and buying the competition probe kit when you order your FireBoard 2.
Those probes list for 17 each, and there is six in the kit for 80.00.
Order your FireBoard direct, if you plan on extra probes, only pay shipping once.
Unless you have prime.

I like the magnet base for $25.

So a channel is a probe? I like the sound of that.
Yes and you can rename the channels to what you want and rename on the next cook.

It works really good, but keep it out of the sun. My FireBoard fell out of it ,to the grass today when the sun hit it.

I stuck mine on the Traeger last week upside down 🤭, and it fell on the concrete. Thank goodness for that rubberized case..
Would an Inkbird or ThermoPro survive that?

I keep it in the plastic it came in, that keeps it looking brand new!!!!!!
