Home Depot bulk deal on 20lb bags of pellets

I was at my local Home Depot today in Lemon Grove, and they have a new bulk deal for Traeger pellets. Buy 4 and get them for $14.99 instead of $18.99. Seems like a pretty good price for them! Anyone seen them cheaper than that?

Yep. That is a Costco blend, found only at Costco.

Still, it's hard to beat B&B at my local Academy for $9.95 for 20 pounds and $14.95 for 40 lbs.

My 2c, Traeger (as far as I have been able to research) uses wood-flavor-oil in their pellets. I'm not a fan of that. As others have stated above there are other brands that don't really cost any more and are the wood that they claim their flavor to be. I've been using Bear Mountain since I bought my grill and haven't found a need or reason to change. I've also moved to using a secondary smoke source (smoke tube/snake) with wood chips so that I can tailor the flavor however I want and can use a relatively generic, consistent pellet in the hopper.

The best deals in my area
- Menard’s sells Pit Boss comp for $15/40# and Apple/Hickory flavors are $18/40#
- Feldmans Farm sells most varieties of LumberJack for $18/40#

I’ve had much better luck with these brands than with Traeger and they are a far better value.
