Hi everyone!
I am in the process of trying to season my new grill. I made sure the auger was primed and the pellets were falling into the fire pot. I followed the instructions and turned the temperature dial to HIGH. I closed the lid and waited. There was smoke coming out of the grill so I thought everything was going well. I came back a few minutes later and saw HeR on the display. This is the high heat warning. I turned the grill to off and unplugged it. My question is , do I have to empty the hopper of pellets and re-do the auger priming process before I try seasoning again?

Hi. No you don't have to empty the hopper or should you have to prime the auger. You could have a look in the burn pot to ensure there are pellets in it to ignite however I think you will be good to re light the way it sits. The error code however could be a faulty sensor or loose connection but hopefully not.
