Hey guys, just want to say hello and thank you for having me.
I was looking to buy a pellet grill for a while, but couldn't decide as to which one to get till I was at my local Costco and saw Redland 650 on a close out price of $399.97 (normally $899.99) and just couldn't pass it up at that price. I've picked up the last one and took it home and set it up on a patio next to the Blackstone.
I've seasoned it and tried out venison backstrap, pork tenderloin and baked potato on super smoke mode. Came out great, but was disappointed in the lack of smoke flavor. Is it due to the short cook time or just the way it is with pellet grills? If so do you have a recommendation for a smoke box/tube to enhance the flavor?
Yesterday I've tried chicken wings, squash and zucchini. Came out great and everyone loved it.
So far I like it, it's super easy to use and cook on and the price was right

Welcome to the forum. You came to a great place, plenty of great folks on here willing to help if you have questions and or advice, but we really enjoy pictures. Keep the pics coming and give us the details.

Welcome to the forum, nice pictures! I found the smoke flavor is less than charcoal or using wood chips on my gas grill.
It is there, though. I was accustomed to much more smoke flavor and probably somewhat desensitized. I just have come to accept it as less smoky. Never thought to somehow use a smoker box.

I grew up with smoking in pits then offsets, I then went to a XL BGE for over twenty years then my buddy gave me my 780 pro with the condition I give it a fair try. I hated it and almost gave it back until I started experimenting with smoke tubes as well as I closed down the damper (turned it down) to about 1/2 inch. I also put a gasket on the lid as well as I weight down my lid with a concrete block to help seal in the smoke. I can’t figure out how to copy and past my reply I made a while back of how I do my smoke tubes but if you enter in the search feature ( magnifying glass) enter triple smoke tube and it should come up. I hope this helps, it has for me.
