You need a pizza peel. The stone should be in the oven or smoker getting hot as the cooker heats up. Then transfer the pizza to the hot stone.... The only things I would do different ... to start the pizza assembly right on the pizza stone. Trying to transfer a sticky dough onto a hot pizza stone on the grill is impossible to do well. Definitely do it guys. It was good.
I’m a woodworker too so now you got me thinking and apparently I have a new project to add to my list. HahaI don't have an actual peel yet, so have been using a large spatula. But, I'm going to make one with some different woods - cherry and maple. I'm a woodworker, so . . .
