... The only things I would do different ... to start the pizza assembly right on the pizza stone. Trying to transfer a sticky dough onto a hot pizza stone on the grill is impossible to do well. Definitely do it guys. It was good.
You need a pizza peel. The stone should be in the oven or smoker getting hot as the cooker heats up. Then transfer the pizza to the hot stone.
Already have one on my Amazon wish list. Do you prefer a wood one or metal?
I don't have an actual peel yet, so have been using a large spatula. But, I'm going to make one with some different woods - cherry and maple. I'm a woodworker, so . . .
