Grill
Pro575
A few weeks ago, i started my grill and noticed that the temp was pushing way past the set temp. I tried a few times again and grill did the same thing each time. I called cust serv amd went thru troubleshooting. It was determined that the fan was not working correctly. CS told me they would send me a new fan, i thanked them and off i went. Well 2 weeks had passed and no fan, so i called CS back and was told that the fan was on back order until Dec of this year(2020) and they could not do anything about it, but they would send me some free stuff, but again all of the free stuff was sold out, so i was sent some liners..... does anyone know of a work around...as my grill has been idle since the end of Sept

I hope the fan actually helps, for now try starting the grill set at a low temp, wait for it to get somewhat stable there, then raise the temp from there.

I don't know if your model has WiFire and can get firmware updates. My grill had pretty bad temperature over shoots when starting and after the latest updates it now gently climbs up to any set temp right from ignition. So firmware can be a factor as well as actual hardware issues.

I'm thinking that Traeger seems to have a supply chain problem in China, everything seems on backorder these days. Could be the pandemic in action.

Is this the black square fan? I have been looking for a replacement because my is very loud and annoys my neighbor. I think it was a 12v fan with PWM control much like you would find on a gaming PC or other industrial application. I just don't know the max RPM needed is. Has anyone looked into this?

oddly, I found a great replacement video for this fan but could never seem to find one to buy.

What do you mean by not working correctly??
My 575 almost always overshoot on startup but once it settles down maintains perfect temp within 5 degrees either side. My fan will fluctuate speed and on and off.
I wonder if a pc fan would work??
