Ok, I'm a little OCD and have been asked to cook a whole packer and 2 butts for a party and I'm worried about butt drippings on brisket below cooking on my T850. Was gonna fire up my ol pro 22 for butts but rather cook together. Will pork dripping be ok on brisket? Different rub on butts so didn't want to ruin taste. Thanks!

Interesting predicament lol. I haven't experienced that situation however I think I would try a foil boat or a foil pan to out the butts in on the top rack. Let us know how it works out. Cheers.

So I got r done...almost. not sure but I hope I didn't lose brisket last night. Thought it would be a good idea to do the "programmed cook" but I was already at temp and meat was around 140. Hit "cook now" and pit went into start up mode and was trying to ignite...had my first flame out because of my stupid mistake.. had to pull it off, and start all over. Meat temp stalled but never really fell...took an hr to get it back in the right direction. We'll see how it turns out, Im crossing my fingers here! Butts went on the pro 22 cause my bluetooth probe decided to quit working. Wish the Timberine had multiple probes. I guess I could have run multiple probes and just unplugged and plugged another in to check temp.. I hate opening pit to use instant temp probes unless I have to. Over slept on the butts and pulled them at 206°. ? This cook has been different.. hope everything is edible!

Btw this was only my 8th brisket with 4 of them being flats. I have only had 1 that didn't turn out good. Started at 185 for 2 1/2 hrs and added smoke tube. Then 225 to 160 internal, crutch, and getting ready to pull now. 16lbs and it went on at 6 o'clock last night and were approaching 14hrs and temp is 200 at 8:13 this morning

Nice.....how was pellet consumption?

I'd guess 12 lbs? About 5 inches from full and I believe its 24lb capacity. She's in the cooler. Seemed like this one cooked a bit faster
