Pro 22 (factory cover, welder's blanket for winter cooks), Weber Genesis, lots of temp probes and various other gizmos, thingamajigs, and a beer cooler.
I’m looking for greater temp control than the Traeger unit that came with my Pro 22. Specifically: Fan only operation for cold smoking; digital temp control (i.e., 5 degree increments rather than Traeger’s analog increments of 25°); a logical working relationship between the controller set temp and the RTD temp probe; functionality down to at least 0° F.

I’ve looked at Smoke Daddy and Savannah Stoker. Does anyone have any experience here and/or know of other vendors?

I ran across this article, when thinking of a replacement if mine goes south. It may be of help.

How about a new FireBoard option for replacing the stock controller
Not sure if the connections are the same, but shouldn't be too difficult to adjust the wires as required.
Compatibility list is due out soon

If these operate similar to how the FireBoard works on the Yoder, the fan would come on when it's powered on. So cold smoking would be possible
Have to see if someone talks about that in a review in the future
Until then, another review
