I’ve had my Ironwood 650 for almost a year and a half now and am on my 6th Traeger probe. Am I the only one having issues with the wire/cable? It seems the wiring isn’t durable enough to withstand more than 5-10 cooks before it starts going crazy. I’ve done the ice bath calibration and even had Traeger send me a new unit which they were convinced would fix the issue. Still the same problem. It’s clearly the wiring because I can play around with it, moving it and bending in a certain way to get it to register again. But a short time later the temp reading will either drop or rise drastically and then give the “Bad Probe” error. Anyone have a solution to make these pieces of crap work? I’m still shocked Traeger didn’t include, or at least offer, a wireless probe for this smoker.
