Clear Auger Setting Pro 575

What does the clear August setting do? It is just below the prime auger setting. I don’t see anything in the manual about it.

It clears all the pellets out into the fire pit by turning anti clockwise and clockwise alternately. I do It when I lay the grill up for winter. It would prevent any pellets from swelling in there if they get damp. also would work if there's ever a blockage,

would I use it when changing pellet Flavors?

No not really, you could do but it'd take too long. The start up and ignition process would move all the old flavour pellets along.

Really just incase there a jam up or something.
