I have a BBQ075 which is an older unit that has caveman tech for controls. I have a friend that has just purchased a newer unit with the wifire system, which I fell in love with and would love to somehow convert my grill to. I am wondering, has anyone in here has tried to do such a conversion?
I would think it would be a fairly simple upgrade, my guess would be changing out connectors on existing components to adapt to the new controller. That is assuming that the fans receive the same input voltage as the older system (At a guess I would say from 5vdc to 24vdc max). And possibly changing the thermometer to a thermo-coupler type. Not really sure which I why I ask the question!
