Traeger Pro 780
My new Traeger 780 Pro has caught on fire in the fire pot the first two times I've attempted to use it. Both times I have followed the instructions to the letter with the same result. Between the first and second attempt I scoured the internet to see if I could find any information that would spread some light on the situation, but nothing that would suggest I did something wrong.

The pellets are Traeger brand pellets and seem in good condition.

Any wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

It's supposed to burn in there. How big is this fire?

How big is the pile of pellets in there? It sounds like your auger is feeding it too much. I'd open it up, clean the pot out and start it while watching and see what is going on there.

I used a different bag of pellets and it worked fine.... Go figure.

I've really been liking the Kingsford brand pellets. Walmart is offering free shipping with orders above $35 right now too.
