Hi. I'm new to Traeger and have a pro series 575. Are we supposed to clean the RTD temperature sensor? If so, how often should we be cleaning it and what's the recommended method?

Thanks!

I read to use vinegar but I don't know a recommended frequency. Every time probably won't hurt and stuff wouldn't be baked on too hard.

White vinegar and a scout pad. I stick a piece of cardboard between the barrel wall & probe so the pad does not scrape the barrel.

Clean it every time you clean the grill, or at least every other cook, or after long ones.

Do NOT do this. The Pro 575 does not have the same metal rod style sensor that the old grills have, and if you take a scout pad to that tiny probe nub in the 575, you're probably going to destroy it.
