Clean everything out of the grill and fire pot. Then prime the auger and try to ignite the grill with the flame shield and drip tray removed from the grill so you can observe what is happening.
The hot rod should become hot, the blower fan should start (listen for the whine) and the auger should start pushing pellets into the fire pot. My suspicion is that the fan failed, but I might be wrong. The hot rod only stays hot until the fire is ignited, then it turns off. From that point on, the fire should be self sustaining. If the fan fails, the fire will drop in temperature. The controller will sense the temperature drop and feed more pellets into the fire pot, thinking more fuel is needed. That is why I suspect the fan.
If the fan does not whine, check the wiring to make sure the fan wires have not come loose (turn off power to the grill before messing with the wiring). If the wires are intact, the fan might have failed.
Cleaned out everything as should be.. cleaned off temp probe. Set to 375 all worked perfectly. Temp probe pretty gunked up. All good for now.Clean everything out of the grill and fire pot. Every time you vacuum the debris out of the bottom of your grill, be sure to wipe off the temp probe. Be VERY careful doing this as the probe is covered in a thin ceramic sheath that is easily cracked. I damaged mine and decided to coat the probe in high temp silicone. It still works.Cleaned out everything as should be.. cleaned off temp probe. Set to 375 all worked perfectly. Temp probe pretty gunked up. All good for now.
