Auger motor shaft has play in it when connected to auger

Hey has anyone had to pull out their auger shaft to clean it out? I noticed before I did it, there is some play in coupling between the motor shaft and the auger shaft.There is a hex bolt/nut holding the 2 together.Just seems weird there is play there, or this normal? Also seems weird the motor/fan are not bolted anywhere,
