Help! Auger issues...HELP!!!

I have a PRO575 and the auger turns for a few seconds and then stops, preventing the grill from igniting. I have dimantled the entire BBQ and cannot find an obvious fault. I am on my third controller since new over 5yrs. They are not cheap.

The auger turns freely and functions correctly when using the "prime audger" or "clear auger" functions.


I have the following questions to try and diagnose.

1. If the igniter is faulty will it send a message to stop the auger turning?

2. What should I be looking for, diagnosing and generally trouble shooting. I am starting to get very frustrated with the grill.

If it works with Clear Auger and Prime Auger, it seems like the auger is fine. I'm assuming you try to Ignite after using the Prime Auger function. Is the firepot clear at this time? Do you get a Failure to Ignite error? Any chance your pellets are old or got wet and just won't ignite?

I have had the failure to ignite message.
I have pulled the entire grill apart and thoroughly cleaned it. Fire pot is clean. The auger has been cleaned so no wet pellets etc. filled with fresh pellets.

Is this the same reason you replaced the other control boards, or a brand new problem? Do any of the pellets even start to burn in the fire pot, or they just not getting to it? My 375 huffs and puffs several times before it actually starts to burn, but I've never seen a failure to ignite message.

Yes it is. I think I may have narrows it down to incorrect tachometer data making the motor stop.
