attempting to do a tri tip

was wondering if any one has done a tri tip in a pro 500 I never cooked one before and was looking for any advice you can give me I plan on using the texas beef pellets

Let us know what method you used and how it came out!
 
I'm a big fan of the reverse sear. Smoke at 225. until it reaches a interal temp of about 120 degrees. Then Sear to your desired doneness. I pull mine off around 135. Let it rest for a bit and dig in.
