Hi all, I have learned a lot from this site and will continue to be an avid follower. I smoke with a Texas elite 34, and noticed that Traeger has discontinued the parts and information page from their web site. Yes it is an older unit, I have added a traeger thermometer that fits in the lid closer to the smoke stack. I added a piece of 3/8 plate to the bottom of the heat baffle, which prevents it from warping and acts like a heat sink during smoking which has leveled out temperature fluctuation. (You can see picts on an earlier post.) My temp controller is manual so I don't have to worry about wifi connections. It works great, I have smoked just about all the meats except beef ribs, their next. I usually smoke low and slow, and get plenty of smoke. My question is if I have a fan / heater / manual controller problem, will I still be able to find replacement parts? I would hate to replace it after reading about all the complaints with the new ones. Thanks for the great info.

Unlikely that you wouldn’t be able to get parts imo. Also, many components of a pellet grill are very universal. You can probably use an off brand part if forced to do so. As I said earlier, I’d think that’s unlikely.

Thanks for the web site, I will put it into my bookmarks for any future replacement parts.
