Guys, Just got my smoker so I am pretty new at this. I have done ribs, turned out real good. Tried a brisket - not so good. Tasted fine but was not tear apart tender.
Question - I am going to smoke a pork butt (7lb) and some baby back ribs (4 racks) on Monday but I am not sure how to do them at the same time?. I have the recipes and directions for each but how to I combine them to come out at the same time?

Obviously the Butt will take longer....do the math on the cook times, put the ribs in after however many hrs into the butt cook that will have the finish times line up...pretty simple.

As noted, very doable. Placement matters. The butt will take longer, so put it where it won't require moving to get to your ribs.
With my Jr, I can do 2 butts in back and still squeeze in 1 rack in front. You will lose heat removing your ribs. I've added firebricks and the added thermal mass helps significantly with the smoker returning to temp.
