Timberline XL Super Smoke mode seems to work very well, check out the short video. This is the third time I’ve used it and it seems to constantly produce smoke and a lot of it.

I have the XL and used Lumberjack mixed fruit wood blend and no problem getting to 500, stayed there with 10 degree flux on either side for over a half an hour. Took about 25-30 min to get there. Ambient temp was 85.

Be been using Lumberjack pellets in the new Timberline XL, so far so good. In the past on my old Mak Two Star General I used Bear Mountain and BBQers Delight with great results.
