How is Traeger not standing behind their product? The company is trying to fix the issue by sending out a replacement part. What else do you expect them to do?
I clean mine right after every cook with Dawn and an SOS pad. They clean up like new. While the grates are drying, I vacuum the ashes and clean the inside of my grill with the Traeger cleaner.
I am very pleased with my Timberline 850.
I also have a Weber Genesis gas grill and a Weber Performer Deluxe. I like having all 3 to use for different needs.
Rust can form on metal in 3 years or less if it’s in a humid area and moisture is a getting to the grill. Since it sits under an outside porch, moisture is apparently getting to the grill. It’s unfortunate.
Agreed. It looks like this grill wasn’t taken care of very well. I clean mine after every use, keep it covered when not in use, and store it in the storage area of my garage.
I only use my Traeger for slow smoking. For grilling steaks or just regular barbecuing, I have a Weber Genesis propane grill and a Weber Performer Deluxe charcoal grill with the touch and go propane lighting system. They both work great.
Agreed. I take pride and care of everything I own. I will never judge anyone for not cleaning their smoker, but my stuff will always be well cared for and clean. Everyone should do what works for them.
I clean the inside of mine after every cook with the Traeger cleaner.
I agree with what you said. I clean the inside of mine after every cook with the Traeger cleaner, clean the grates and vacuum the ash. I am very meticulous about my stuff, so I always take very good care of it. I would...
I am considering a Meater Plus thermometer because I like the wireless setup. Any advice on this product? I’m also looking at different storage options for pellets to keep them dry. I live in Louisiana, so it’s pretty humid here.
Hello,
I just purchased my first pellet grill after using a Weber Genesis for the last 16 years. This picture was taken right after I finished assembling the grill. I’m pretty excited about it.
