Thanks for the pic. Now I know that the ash from the fire box doesn't drop into the externally removable cup like the Camp Chef. Darn. Heck. Guess I buy a new camp chef and not a newer a Traeger. Thanks.
Had the same complaint when mine was new. After purchasing 3 ThermoWorks setups, I found that the RTD is within 15 drgreed of the average Temps on the far left and far right. My major complaint is super smoke won't work above 225 set temp. Whan you need to set the temp to 240 (+) to get a good...
Had my D2 grill for 2 years using Android. Only sleep mode issue was caused by a bad powers switch. You also need to make sure your burn pot isn't full of ash! However a full burn pot should produce a FLAME OUT error in the APP.
Baby backs are sometime packaged "WITH EXTRA MEAT" meaning LOIN meat which gets very tough when cooked. Try St. Louis ribs next round. No loin meat to toughen up.
Very true. I have an 810. Have resulted smoking at 180 for a few hours and then raisi g the temp beyond recipe temp for remainder of cooking. If you us 2 after marketemp sensors like THERMOWORKS. you will notice there is a 20 to 30 degree temp difference form the left to right side. If you...
I bought the 810. Had a few initial problems, all related to shipping issues. Traeger has parts. I bought to replace my electric smoker. No pellet grill can produce the flavor I go from my electric that smoldered wood chips. All Traeger grills except the NEW ones with the burn pot clean out...
If you have tried to clean your Traeger you know it is a pain to remove everything to vacuum out the fire pot. I have a Traeger, and wish I took it back and bought a Camp Chef, fire pot easy empty is worth the price to me.
Go to Etsy type silverton 810 into search. Thry have a wooden shelf for $180 or so and custom adapter brackets for $ 30 or so. have had mine for over a year Traeger replaced the controller and the thermocouple will call the RTD the internal temperature sensor because when I got it it was bent...
Traeger will send a new RTD a pain treplace. Won't be any better! Traeger accepts a 20 to 30 degree deferential between display temp and actual. Mine gets more accurate above 250. Good luck!
I had a verticle electric smoker and weber gas grill. Bordered the Costco Silverton 810.
#1 you will need an external monitor for Traeger internal temp. Traeger accepts a 20 to 30 degree offset. #2 you won't get the flavor out of a pellet grill you got from the off set, or I got from my...
Traeger has a recipe for NO FLIP bacon. I have done it several times. and found that the best way to get it done is to put the bacon on right after the Traeger reaches about 160 (set temp is 350). once the Traeger app signals that the grill is up to temp, time for 10 minutes and check on the...
