    Outdoor Kitchen Build

Man, what an outdoor kitchen! It definitely qualifies for the outdoor seating rules with plenty to spare! Gorgeous with the snow for sure.

    Sauce/Rub Smoked Salt

Can't wait to try that recipe! Are the results with your Bradely better and does it take less time than Traeger? I got these 12 and 5 pounder salts from Costco Business a while back and have been planning to use my electric smoker. I was thinking the flake one might absorb the smoke better? Also...

Has anybody found a compatible insulation blanket for the Silverton 620?

I tested a small piece and let it soak overnight. It stood up well with no issues, but I could see a larger piece soaked from rain possibly stretch or tear if pulling/moving it. Thanks again for the heads up so I can keep an eye on it!

Yum! Will they actually come out a little smokey at that temp or do you need to start at a lower temp?

    Smoke Tube?

Agree with Timmy - RustyJake has an AWESOME flame thrower! I use this butane one AND the wife stores it in the kitchen too! Actually, she uses it to torch cheese and stuff;)...

I'd probably go with a pro as well compared to the IW cost. Need to figure out what I'm going to do. Guess I'll keep rolling with the 620 for now. It's been doing fine, but a little concerned with what RemE said about the paint boiling off inside the bottom cabinet.

I need a method to track my recipes/smokes.

Wow, did not realize it does all that. Drooling at the app and the food! Forgot about OneNote. I may use that while waiting in the dark ages here

I need a method to track my recipes/smokes.

Wish I had a Fireboard too. I've been keeping loose notes on the note app on my iPhone. It works well to track real time, gets a little hard to read through for next cook adjustments so I'm testing the "table" option in the app to see if it makes it easier to track and adjust. Here it is in case...

Has anybody found a compatible insulation blanket for the Silverton 620?

Whoa, didn't know that! Seattle has been known to get some rain... The grill is under a gazebo and grill cover, but I do have a small piece to test and will report back

I cut it into two pieces and made each one just short of any exhaust edges and ports. Ex: on the top back of the lid where a lot of smoke exits after adding LavaLock I did not let it hang over the edge. On the second part for the back, I also cut it just shy of the vents. Not sure how your grill...

Never thought about what Simpicker clarified. That'll be interesting to see how your test comes out!

Good video comparison, thanks! They pretty much sell the IW, huh?

Has anybody found a compatible insulation blanket for the Silverton 620?

Have not seen an OEM cover for the Silverton, but got this welding felt from Amazon for $40. It is good thickness, easy to cut and seems to work well. I poked holes and put the handle screws through it and need to get some more magnets to hold the rest. Temperature differences with and without...
